  1. Apply hair Oil to your hairs atleast once in a week. Coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil will help to nourish your hair.
  2. Take a diet that provides enough zinc, B-complex vitamins and essential fatty acids which would help in preventing dandruff.
  3. Massage your hair for half an hour with curd with few drops of lemon in it.
  4. Mix camphor in any good oil and heat it a little, then massage your scalp with this oil mixture for 10 minutes, leave it applied for 30 minutes and rinse your hair well using a mild shampoo after that.
  5. Take equal amount of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice with a pinch of salt and apply it to your hair and leave for several minutes before shampoo.  This slight acid nature of vinegar and lemon act as a natural anti fungicide.
  6. Tomato therapy is also very useful.
  7. Green gram powder(mung dal) is also very useful for dandruff prevention. The hair should be washed twice a week with two tablespoons of this powder mixed with half a cup of curd.
  8. Use of fenugreek seeds is one of the most important treatments of dandruff. Two tablespoons of these seeds should be soaked overnight in water after that you should then grind it and make a fine paste in the morning. This paste should be applied all over the scalp and left for half an hour, later on hair should  be washed thoroughly with soap-nut (ritha) solution or any mild shampoo.
  9. Nettle, Horsetail, Rosemary, are also helful, massaging these herbs regularly into your hair and scalp will prevent dandruff.
  10. Hydrogen peroxide/apple cider vinegar might help in removing the source of dermatitis.(TED'S REMEDIES).
  11. Burdock root is also helpful. The bur oil in the root is said to help strengthen and beautify hair, stop scalp itching and dandruff.
