Botox Can Prevent Hair Loss Botox is a protein derived from botulism toxin. It is used as an anti-aging solution and has proven to be effective in making your skin look younger. Botox can possibly prevent hair loss too. It was found that Botox, injected along with a vitamin cocktail 2-3 times per year, may prevent baldness.This is because the Cytokines, can be "frozen" by the botox solution. Cytokines are responsible for the chemical irregularities causing baldness. Cytokines are proteins that serve as messengers between cells. These injections appear to improve the tissue environment surrounding the hair follicles by reducing scalp tension and improving blood flow. It is however not a proven treatment and lacks scientific evidence to support this claim. |
